All Henderson County Area Baseball and Softball Teams
Eustace senior Lucas Cope has been named the Offensive Player of the Year on the 2007 Henderson County All-Area baseball team.
Cope was the leading hitter for a Eustace team that fought its way into the state playoffs this spring.
Chris Compton, a sophomore for the Dogs and the team’s starting quarterback last fall, was named Sophomore of the year.
Mikie Scruggs, a Kemp senior, was the King of the Hill Award.
None of the lake area teams were given superlative honors this time around but Kemp third baseman Sarah Smith was named to the first team, as was utility player Lauren Norwood, a Mabank sophomore.
