Mabank girls fall at state meet

— The Mabank girls golf team ran into the state’s toughest Class 3A opposition last weekend and had to settle for 8th place, among the eight qualifying teams.
The Lady Panthers fired a 36-day total of 750, to finish behind, Crockett (745), Frisco Wakeland (714), Yoakum (705), Medina Valley (675), China Spring (669), & Monahans (645) and Class 3A state champion Andrews (620).
Individually, Macey Thomas led the Lady Panthers with an 89-93-182, Katie Hibbs 90-92-182; Whitney Evans, Mabank 98-100-198. Caitlyn Jones, Mabank 117-104 - 221.
Team Totals: 374-376 —750; Whitney Evans, Mabank 98-100; 198.
