Drilling inevitable, we should profit

Dear Editor,

I think that the current problem with the oil drilling near the lake is only the beginning of what will happen in the future.

They will make every effort to get that Smackover oil under the lake. It is probably inevitable that this will happen.

We need to set the standards for what we expect from these drillers. Not only safety but I think we should have some revenue sharing with the county.

Their trucks will be wearing out our roads and probably endangering people. Those big truck are a lot to put on these narrow roads. The emergency management needs to be upgraded to be able to handle future emergencies that hopefully want happen.

Chesapeake is revenue sharing with Tarrant county. Why can't we expect the same thing ? That is what I believe anyway.

Judge Holstien is scheduled to speak at the Henderson County Property Owners Association meeting on Thursday the 10th.
