Kemp Business and Civic Association plans ‘Fall Festival’

Fall is here and the festivities are starting in Kemp.

Bring your family, meet new friends and discover the businesses and citizens that make Kemp the most exciting small town on Cedar Creek Lake. Food, drinks and entertainment, a street dance, and the coolest fall parade in Texas await you.

The Kemp Business and Civic Association (KBCA) will be presenting the Kemp Fall Festival Oct. 25.

An expected 1000 lake-area residents are invited to converge upon downtown Kemp with local business and community vendors to fellowship in fall festivities.

Kemp City Park will host the event at Ninth and Main Streets.

In support of local food banks, canned food and paper good donations will be accepted. Admission to the festival and the parade route is free. Parade floats/ vehicle entry is also free.

Ten foot by ten foot festival booths are available for a 10 dollar donation to the KBCA. To reserve booth space, contact Diana Clemmo at (903) 498-5055.

Festivities will begin at 12 noon, and the parade will kick off at 1 p.m. Celebration will continue into the evening from 5 until 9 with a street dance.

KBCA is a new association founded this year to promote the town they call home. The first festival of many more to come for this group was this year’s July Fest. Over 750 citizens came to watch the Ms. Kemp Pageant, sing karaoke, meet neighbors and enjoy a barbeque.

Entrants are welcome to pass out flyers, candy, stickers and other family friendly promotional items.

“Adult only” items are prohibited from the festival. These items include, but are not limited to, alcoholic beverages, drug-related promotions, bottle openers, beer cozies, and any items related to drugs, alcohol, nudity or adult entertainment.
